As Pot Luck means: is a gathering of people where each person is expected to bring a dish of food to be shared among the community, that's inspired me to use it as my Blog Title. My intention is to share, gathered people to give comment (if any ;p ) and the point is to urge them to try what i've done here...
Normally, i never gave a review upload in my blog..i prefer directly leaves comment on each blogs/sites belong to the places. But, this one was exceptional.
Yesterday, during lunch break i came for a visit to the place as i put above "Epicure". I found this place as a little hommy restaurant. Inside consist less than 10 tables (mix for 2 or 4 people) alongside the wall where its connected sofas and single chairs opposite. The atmosfere were soo minimalist, but had a cool ambience and it made you feel want to finish your meal in relax...Soft music flew from the above corners speaker add more comfort. Since i didn't intent having heavy meal i only asked for their new patisserie item: Poach Pear Tart..From its title you won't find it special until you fork itself into your mouth..It's so smooth, not over sweet, precise crumble, and big enough to satisfy your stomach. The Owner, whom i knew later named Alexander Ruiz (also the Chef) was coming from Puerto Rico, inherit his mom's special recipes of Spanish cuisines and other pastry which you hardly found in other place. He stated to himself not wanting to "e-adjust" the original flavor of his hometown recipes, coz it won't be the same taste again..I definitelly agree with him..
So, we had quite some chats, i was spoiled by his generosity, special home made ice cream..on the house! Two thumbs up for his choices, since at the beginning i asked him what's the match dessert accompany my Poach Pear Tart perfectly? He gave 2 scoops of Pistachio & Strawberry ice cream for the answer. The pistachio nutty tasted wonderful in my mouth, The sourness from the strawberry indeed conformable with the tart sweetness and the pistachio too. Heeemmm....thinking of that while i'm typing this article made my mouth start watering... ;D Alex, you're responsible..!
As the the ending..a sip of freshly brewed coffee was more than enough for that day. To my opinion as a coffee lover, the coffee need improvement. It shall be Expresso, stronger taste..Puuurrfeeecctt...
Promise..i'll drop by again later to taste their home made pasta...Pappardelle...
Alex..once again thanks for your warm welcome and till we meet again...
PS: G'luck for your next branch and don't forget to inform me the opening date...Cya....
